WADDINGTON -- Clarkson University’s Center for Entrepreneurship has teamed with the Waddington Chamber of Commerce to bring its My Small Business 101 series to the St. Lawrence River community.
Hoping to build on the excitement of the recent World Fishing Network competition, the chamber and the center are supporting new and existing small business owners in the area.
Small-business people are invited to attend the free course, which is delivered in four weekly two-hour sessions.
Each week, Marc Compeau, Clarkson’s director of innovation and entrepreneurship, will focus on a different topic, including thinking strategically, resource management, marketing management and financial management.
The course will be held on July 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. in St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Waddington.
Those interested in attending should contact Erin Draper at the Center for Entrepreneurship by Monday, June 27, at 268-3995 or edraper@clarkson.edu.
Space is limited and registration will be offered on a first-come first-served basis. There is no cost to attend.
Since 2004, My Small Business 101 has provided guidance to more than 500 business owners.
