Ace Hardware, which has locally owned stores in Canton, Potsdam and nearby Saranac Lake, has received the ranking of “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Home Improvement Retail Stores” for the past 12 months from J.D. Power.
The study was based on responses from more than 2,900 consumers who purchased home improvement products or services within the past 12 months.
Ace Hardware ranked highest among major retailers with an overall satisfaction index of 791 on a 1,000-point scale.
The score is based on quality of merchandise, price, sales and promotions, staff and service, and the store facility.
Coakley Carpet One Ace Hardware, located at 2535 NYS Hwy. 68, has been in business since 1902 and also operates Coakley High Peaks Ace Hardware in Saranac Lake, where the J.D. Power trophies were on display for a period of time.
In Potsdam, Evans & White Ace Hardware is located at 1 Maple St.
