CANTON – The Canton Chamber of Commerce is seeking vendors and parade float entries for the annual Dairy Princess Parade Festival slated for June 2, following the Big Wheels Race, Car Show and Block Dance on June 1.

The Dairy Council is expected to finalize a theme for the parade before April and vendor forms will be available after that time. Forms need to be submitted by May 30.

Fees for food vendors are $75 per day or $150 for two days. Other vendors pay $40 per day. Displays are $10 per day, and street fair vendors are $10 for Saturday only from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

All vendors must have a tax ID number and include it on the form. Food vendors and games or rides, such as the jump houses, must have insurance and must send a copy of that insurance with registration along with their check. Food vendors should have permits from the Department of Health (315-386-1040). Sales certificate must be displayed on vendor tables.

Spaces in the park are on a first come, first serve basis.

The chamber reserves the right to ban the following items from being sold in the park or on the streets: silly string, snappers, poppers, invisible ink and incense. The organization has had several complaints about these items and there was considerable cleanup of the containers and boxes from these items in year’s past, said a chamber press release.
