CANTON -- The Canton Chamber of Commerce has announced the first round winners of its 2017 holiday giveaway.
Phoebe Rogerson and Carole Jenne, both of Canton, each won $50 in Canton gift certificates.
Chamber director Sally Hill said there were 450 entries this week.
Next week’s drawings are worth $70 each, with the drawing to be held Nov. 27 (due to Thanksgiving).
The chamber’s holiday giveaway helsp raise money to fund chamber endeavors and initiatives.
Last year, more than 3,500 people entered to win $660 in gift certificates. The drawings, two each round, are held in conjunction with the chamber’s Shop Local campaign.
Gift certificates claimed by winners are redeemable at chamber member businesses. Future drawings will be held on Dec. 1 for $90 and Dec. 8 for $120.
