CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce honored a Canton business and a Madrid restaurant at its annual award ceremony Thursday night.
Commercial Press of Canton was named 2014 Business of the Year for its own growth and “its constant commitment to helping others grow.”
North Country Savings Bank Assistant Vice President Steve Thornton presented the award at the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Thursday evening at SUNY Potsdam.
The Ole Smokehouse in Madrid received the first-ever Customer Service Excellence Award from the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner Thursday evening at SUNY Potsdam. SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center Business Advisor Michelle Collins presented the award recognizing the restaurant’s culture of “customer first.”
