CANTON -- James J. Kuhn has been named president of Atlantic Testing Laboratories, a Canton-based technical services firm with 10 offices throughout New York State.
Marijean Remington, C.E.O. of ATL, announced the appointment by the company’s board of directors.
Kuhn began working with ATL in 1994 after obtaining his civil engineering degree from Clarkson University. He has since held positions as engineer, assistant division manager, division manager, area manager, vice president, senior vice president, and executive vice president. He is also very active in engineering professional societies.
“I am extremely pleased that Jim has accepted the position as president of ATL,” C.E.O. Remington said. “We have confidence in Jim, and his management and leadership abilities to move ATL forward to even more successful endeavors.”
Kuhn is the third president in ATL’s 45-year history, succeeding Remington most recently, and founding president Spencer F. Thew.
Kuhn lives in Clifton Park with his wife and children.
ATL services include subsurface investigations, water-based investigations, geotechnical engineering, construction materials engineering and testing, special inspection services, pavement engineering, nondestructive testing, and environmental services.
