OGDENSBURG -- Cape Air set an October passenger record for the company’s operations at Ogdensburg International Airport this fall.
The previous October record of 976 Cape Air passengers in 2014 was beaten by 75 with a new record of 1,051 passengers in and out of Ogdensburg International Airport in October 2017.
The company also set passenger records for September and August at the airport.
The count for September 2017 was 875 passengers, and 1,090 in August 2017.
Cape Air says in its press release that the company works in tandem with the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority to increase awareness of air service out of Ogdensburg through sponsorships, community engagement, and print and digital promotion in the U.S. and Canada.
"Air travelers recognize the great value Cape Air provides for access to Boston, Albany, and points beyond," said Wade A. Davis, executive director of the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority. "Couple that with Cape Air's Jet Blue codeshare, superior service, and it results in a winning combination for Canadian and US passengers alike," he said.
Cape Air operates multiple daily flights from Ogdensburg to Albany and Boston.
