There were 100 more non-farm jobs in St. Lawrence County this January than in January 2014, according to the state Department of Labor.
According to DOL’s count, there were 39,800 non-farm jobs in the county this past January, while in January last year there were 39,700 non-farm jobs here.
That’s an increase of about 0.3 percent, DOL said.
In Franklin County, to our east, the number dropped from January 2014 to January 2015 by about 300 jobs, from 18,500 to 18,200, or about 1.6 percent lower over the course of a year.
