CANTON- The Friends of the Canton Free Library will host their first ever online auction fundraiser, “Jump to a New Chapter," beginning May 5. The auction, hosted in partnership with GalaBid, will run until Saturday, May 11.
Auction items have been donated by local businesses and Friends of the Library supporters. The auction features handcrafted items, works by local artisans, unique local opportunities and dining experiences, treats by sought-after skilled bakers and more.
All auction proceeds will be given to the Canton Free Library to help pay for library building improvements.
The building improvements, which are already underway, will make the library even more family-friendly, accessible, and accommodating to the Canton community, library officials say.
The auction can be found online at https://app.galabid.com/newchapter.
The auction is currently available for previewing.
Participants will need to register on the website to place a bid.
Monetary donations in lieu of bids on items are accepted and can be made through the auction site.
Winners of all physical auction items must make arrangements to have their purchases picked up at the library during regular business hours.
Shipping and delivery will not be available.
