Local youth and adult students also recently were awarded medals for competing in the 47th International Championships conducted at the Watertown Fairgrounds YMCA Facility on April 28. Competitors represented class locations from New York, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada.
Family members of all ages attend weekly North Country Regional Classes in Canton (Recreation Pavilion: Thurs. 6-7pm), Norwood (Town Hall: Mon. 5:30-6:30pm), and Gouverneur (Community Center: 6-7pm). School age students are required to maintain academic standards and are encouraged to be actively involved in extracurricular school and community programs. Canton(6-7pm).
A Family Safety Seminar will be offered as a part of the Canton Recreation Program prior to the start of summer vacation. This lesson will offer important information key to remaining safe while on school break. Topics important to Class of '24 graduates who are preparing to begin college activities away from home will also be discussed.
